Abstract

This paper explores the role of physical education in promoting cricket among students, utilizing secondary data to analyze the effectiveness of various pedagogical strategies, institutional support mechanisms, and extracurricular initiatives. By examining existing literature, educational policies, and case studies, the study identifies key factors that enhance the popularity and participation rates in cricket within educational settings. The findings suggest that a structured physical education curriculum, combined with dedicated coaching, adequate facilities, and motivational programs, significantly increases student engagement in cricket. The paper concludes with recommendations for educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to effectively integrate cricket into physical education programs, thereby promoting physical activity, teamwork, and strategic thinking among students.
